Later episodes of Jeannie had the synopsis of how he found her etc, but the very first episode – which was in black-and-white, pretty common for pilot episodes in those days since it cost a lot less – covers the whole event in detail.
Somalis have not contributed to America. (Ayaan Hirsi Ali being an exception.) I’m fine with Afghannis coming to America if they give up Islam. I reviewed a book that covered some of this. In conclusion, Islamic people don’t integrate into liberal societies.
And it would need to be enforced. One trip to a mosque, and back to Afghanistan they go!
So JPod and Rob Long really believe that Afghanis would benefit our society and that everyone who is concerned about Afghani refugees is racist? Do they honestly believe that Afghanis will be like Vietnamese immigrants?
Some of them might be fine, but how to tell in advance? Requiring them to disavow islam is probably a good start. From what I’ve learned of history, over the past 2000 years or whatever, the only successful way any country seems to have dealt with islam, is by expulsion.
Paul Lynde may have been a bit of a lady’s man on Bewitched and Hayden Rorke was a married man on I Dream of Jeannie, though both were gay. But Neil Patrick Harris’ Barney on How I Met Your Mother was much more of a skirt chaser. The show began in 2005 and Harris came out in 2006.
I never found Barney credible as a “lady killer” but wasn’t sure why until then. In past times, “closeted” homosexual movie/TV stars did a better job of learning how to pretend to be hetero, including from other actors. It seems today that they don’t bother. As a result, when they try to play hetero roles, they just can’t do it well.
I’m reminded of an episode of Batman where Liberace was the guest star villain. His character was a lady’s man.
And Rob wants to replace the people who didn’t get the shot and died with Wu Flu with these Afghanis. That’s the type of love I usually only get on Leftist Twitter.
And you know something else that Vietnamese migrants/refugees tend not to be?
Muslim.
They just should give up the crazy parts of Islam.

I visited Afghanistan a long time ago. My son served there. I believe they can. People want freedom.
I want to know what goes through the minds of the people who work at the State Department. Many of the ethnic enclaves around America exist because immigrants were attracted the similarities of their homelands. For example, the Norwegians settling in the upper Midwest and the Germans from the Rhineland putting down roots along the Ohio. So who looked at all those Vietnam refugees and said, “You know where they’d feel right at home? Minnesota.” SE Asia to the Minnesota winters must have been quite the shock.
Then how to explain that a population that is 99.7 percent muslim, by 99 percent favors living under sharia law, which is the opposite of freedom?
I travelled through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan during the 1970s. We were a family of 4. Husband, wife and 2 daughters. I was 14, my sister was 18. We were treated with respect everywhere. There were some scary situations where my father had to go into a checkpoint in a remote location while we waited in the car. He was prepared for a shakedown. He was told we were a family and visitors and guests and we proceeded unmolested. Our car broke down and we were towed by a couple of guys in an old truck. Our car was repaired for a minimal amount. I wore hot pants in Kabul. Nobody bothered me. The people of Afghanistan are victims. My son had to go there to fight the cockroaches coming over the same mountain passes we drove our Opal car over. Our war was never with the Afghan people. It was with Al Qada and the Taliban and Pakistan. We lost.
Sounds like you were there before the Wahabist stuff got going. That makes a difference too.

They don’t want Sharia. You think they have a choice?
I’m referring to polls taken in Afghanistan which showed that 99.7% identify as muslim and 99% say they want sharia law. The polls are not taken by Taliban Polling etc, there’s a good chance they’re pretty accurate.
A lot of muslim immigrants to the US agree with that too.
Wahabism didn’t start there, but it’s spread pretty widely.
Yeah and polls in Russia say they all love Putin. Polls in Iraq showed they all loved Saddam. Etc., etc. They are just trying to stay alive. The polls I believe are the people tossing their babies up to American soldiers and people clinging to landing gear.

About 79% of Afghanis believe in killing Muslims who leave the faith. About 85% of Afghanis believe in stoning people for adultery according to Pew. How is that loving freedom?
So he wants to replace American-black people largely. I find that ironic.
So now you believe polls.
They said what they believed is safest for them to say. Weird how all these sharia loving muslims sent their daughters to school. As for Muslims in the US, a lot of them are disgusted with the wokeness and [REDACTED] they see here. Can you blame them?
These polls are consistent with polls in Pakistan. I understand disbelieving polls about American elections but polls taken over a long period of time tend to be more reliable. Also, throughout the Muslim world, apostate laws are common. Additionally, there is nothing inconsistent with educating girls but then killing them for adultery or homosexuality or blasphemy.
