In this first episode of our newest (and as of yet, unnamed) podcast, Rob Long, National Review’s Jonah Goldberg, and Commentary’s John Podhoretz riff on culture, media, and politics. This week, Podhoretz about-faces on Twitter, all about Akin, the hows and why of plagiarism, are we in a new golden age of television, and John describes why the Game of Thrones novels are in fact a scandal and should be banned. Also, stick around to the very end: that’s when they tell their favorite joke of the week. Certain to be become a regular feature.
Have a suggestion for title for this show? Let us know in the comments. Rob, Jonah, and John will pick their favorite and we’ll anoint the winner with a coveted Ricochet coffee mug.

I am super excited about this! I can’t wait to listen.
This one is going to be so exciting. I love the conservative/pop culture take from these guys.
Is Mark so busy with“After America”-type work that there is something about this podcast that can be described as Ricochet’s “After Steyn”?
Or perhaps the storyline: “Ricochet dumps New Hampshire hick to focus only on Americ’a true Power Cities.”
Huzzah!!!
This is a phenomenal combination, well done gentlemen.
This should be the flagship podcast. :)
(No offense Jim and Peter).
It’s a surprise Random Act of Podcasting!
Ricochet is a cornucopia of audio awesomeness.
My two suggestions to Yeti: GLoP (Goldberg, Long, Podh0retz)
Or how about Podhoretz & Son? It’s about a young man from Brooklyn who returns from a successful career in DC speech writing to take over his father’s magazine. Rob and Jonah play racist and oversexed employees…

I like this. Sending it over to our expansive marketing department.
This looks promising and I hope it lasts more than 2 – 3 episodes like the one with Goldberg, Long, and Steyn. Law Talk is the only members-only one worth paying for up right now IMHO.
Two Mensch and a JPodcast.
/meh, it’s all I got. maybe I’ll get 66% of the vote, though. enough for 66% of a coffee mug.
Podlongberg.
The New, You Know, Podcast.
Really weird.
The ROLOJOGOJOPO podcast?
We’ll have something to say on this very topic on this week’s Ricochet Podcast. Also on this week’s show: TV’s Ann Coulter stops by to kiss and make up with one Mr. Peter Robinson (or so we expect). Look for it on Thursday.
“Two Jewish intellectuals and a Hollywood producer walk into a podcast…”

I’ll be sure to tune in and I appreciate the heads up, Mr. Yeti.
Give it a name before they break up the act!
Rage in the Machine? Sarcasm…
Superb podcast.
I agree with Jonah and Rob about having conservatives demonstrate a good disposition. As a non political person who accidently began to read the Internet a few years ago, it was the conservative’s humour and tone that attracted me. Then Ricochet and others such as Econtalk educated me too.
This podcast is an analytical conversation with depth. I also appreciate that Rob and Jonah can critique their own and also discuss Fareed’s mistake with empathy. I listened twice and Stitcher ran banner ads for some good books.
*happydance*
Just this morning I was grimly musing how long it was until the Ricochet Podcast (flagship class), and boom! A variation that’s a whole new podcast!
Wonderful podcast. I agree with the calls for James to be included. Of course, I would like Peter and many others to be on as well, but there has to be a limit.
After all, we couldn’t have a podcast with ALL the contributors… could we… Or is that just crazy enough to work?
Who would dominate the podcast? Podhoretz? Epstein? Steyn?
If there was some way to manage a larger podcast–say 5-10 contributors–it would be wonderful. Sadly, I cringe at the thought of everyone talking over each other.
Only Peter Robinson–the world’s greatest moderator–would be able to herd that many cats.
How about: Two Men and a Baby? (I.d. of the baby can rotate, depending on who seems whiny. I nominate John for this one, for his comment that he can’t get on TV anymore.)
This show needs a name, like, right now before it goes the way of Steyn/Goldberg/Long — which also had trouble finding a name for itself.
Avogadro’s Podcast.
When I recently filled out the Ricochet questionnaire about the podcasts, I specifically mentioned that Goldberg and Podhoretz should appear on the podcast more often. As often as possible, in fact. I had no idea the immense power I wield around here. To my fellow Ricos, you are all welcome.

Sorry for the double post above. iPad issues.
Oh, to be Mr. Robinson for…just a moment.
I have tried and failed to read on a kindle or any e-reader. I just cannot for whatever reason focus when I am reading a kindle. I need the “hardcopy” book. I like the feel of holding the book, the smell of its passages, etc… Call me a Luddite.
