Nah . . . they have.
If they can’t force themselves to vote for Trump when he proved that he was basically a moderate conservative I think they lost their way. I don’t blame anybody for voting third party in 2016 because Trump was such a mystery but after four years of pretty solid policy, I feel like you need to hold your nose and vote for the lesser evil.
Yes, I came to that conclusion in 2020. Now with Desantis’ wife sick with breast cancer, I’m not sure he will run at all. We may be stuck with a choice between those 2 same evils again. It all sucks.
A problem I see that can arise if a lot of people are “holding their nose” to vote for Trump because of his policy positions, is that people who aren’t that much into policy positions will only see the “nose holding” and decide NOT to.
There was already a lot of that in 2020, and that could be the margin that allowed the Democrat fraud to succeed.
It’s really a bad idea to say, as several Ricochet hosts said and wrote, that “Trump is loathsome” but his policies aren’t so bad.
You have got to be kidding. You think there are people who don’t know how loathsome Trump is? Trump lost because he is a fool who can’t stop running his mouth stupidly. Good policies are not enough to make up for that. He lost to Joe Biden for heaven’s sake!
Biden is so bad that maybe even Trump could beat him next time, but I wouldn’t bet on that. Can’t we move on from two old guys to someone with good policies who isn’t an idiot? I pray daily that Trump doesn’t run.
Lots of people don’t know how bad Biden is, because the media is covering for him. Lots of people don’t know anything BUT that Trump “is loathsome” because the media told them ONLY THAT for years, with rarely if ever a mention of how much better his policies were than what we’re getting now.
Because Trump DID NOT have only good policies. He did a lot of stupid stuff too. He often attacked Republicans. And when he did do something well, he’d march out and step all over himself. Losing Georgia was unforgivable. If the Democrats get their lunatic spending passed, it will be Trump’s fault for telling everyone the election was rigged, so his voters stayed home. What’s the point of voting if everything is rigged? Then the lunacy of Jan. 6th that gave the Democrats exactly what they were praying for.
God help us if we have Trump running again.
Despite all the evidence that’s been gathered and shown, particularly in Georgia for this case, are you still believing that elections aren’t… problematic?
Well if they are, Trump isn’t the answer. He’s not worth fighting for.
Maybe not for you, but at least give credit for driving the left to expose themselves so much more than ever before.
I don’t pray. Do you actually pray everyday that Trump doesn’t run? I’m not trying to be nasty to religious people but I don’t know how religious people pray because I am not religious.
Someone forgot the music credit in the show notes.
First Rule of Trump: nothing is ever his fault, including his own behavior.
Fact check: most Republican politicians receive unfavorable coverage from the media and many if not most of them get re-elected, often for multiple terms.
He lost the election. He lost multiple subsequent court challenges, now he’s losing audits. Give it up already. It’s SO boring.
Maybe the People’s Republic of California is already down the toilet, but other states are still able to figure out when they’re being played.
NeverTrumpers are boring as well. This is why we should all focus on genetic engineering and sex robots which aren’t boring.
I’m not a never Trumper now and I never was. What I am is a person capable of reading court cases, election reports, and audits.
I can also recognize borderline personality disorders including a person who spent a decades calling other people losers and therefor cannot accept that he lost. That same personality disorder places his needs above those of the country. Because it’s all about him and it always was. That’s not terribly unusual for a politician or a public figure, but this guy takes it to another level.
What I can’t understand is why so many other people are wrapped up in his psychosis.
Really? And how’s that going? How many states have revised their original reported election winners?
Zero.
Nice work, Cyber Ninjas. Losers keep losing.
P.S. I’ve been very critical of California and the way it’s run. But I would not describe it as “down the toilet.” Not by a long shot.
Projection much?
Translation: I am not a NeverTrumper because I am smart and decent and smart and decent people don’t don’t vote for Trump.
Translation: You people who vote for Trump are not people I need to really consider. I know that Trump is bad and you are bad if you voted for Trump.
So… you are basically a NeverTrumper. I totally believe that are probably smarter than me in reading court cases and all of that. That’s important stuff. But…
You can never vote for Trump no matter how bad the Democrat is? Am I right?
You have no idea who I voted for.
Then tell me you voted for Trump.
If you are not a NeverTrumper. Tell us who you voted for and why. It’s America and you have the right to vote for whoever you want to but speak honestly. We have the freedom as speech as Americans after all. I think we all know who you didn’t vote for.
You also think you know who won the election. So your track record on this topic is very consistent.
I think you are confusing me for someone else. I’ve never had enough empirical evidence to prove the election was stolen. It’s entirely believable to me that Trump lost because his rudeness turned off the suburbs and people don’t vote rationally.
Yes I pray. I don’t go to church though I still consider myself a Catholic. I say short little prayers in my head while I’m doing things. Since so many people won’t let Trump go away, I pray every time I hear his miserable name mentioned.
For a lot more people than just me. Would be nice to expose the left and still offer an alternative who isn’t loathsome. Scratch that – it is IMPERATIVE to offer an alternative who isn’t loathsome!
Some people use the metaphor of sports to explain politics. But it isn’t a suitable metaphor. I never boo my team but I do expect the underperforming players or coaches to be axed. Trump was a horrible president and leader of the party. Time and time again he had an oportunity to sit back and watch the left hang themselves, and time and time again he failed because he is an narcissist. All the “defund the police” stuff was gold in the hands of any amateur politician, somehow Trump made the miracle of losing an election. It takes talent. But it seems the GOP doesn’t want to sieze the moment and rule America.

This argument is about whether someone should be critical of Trump and not have to hold their nose to vote for him. Such a person, by definition, is not a Never Trumper. That’s me. I want lots of criticism so the old fool never runs again!
However, if I am once again put into the horrible position of having to chose between Trump and some lunatic Democrat, I would have no choice but to vote for him, reluctantly, as I did in 2020. I am Never Democrat. There isn’t a single Democrat I could vote for. The Party’s platform is corrupt and insane and even worse than Trump.
They are still terrified of Trump and his supporters. They’d seize it with both hands if he would GO AWAY!
