Ah, that was fun. My favorite part…”I’m on! I’m [CoC violation] ON!!! “[Religious Figure cited]!! I’m in the [CoC violation] car!! I’m ON!!!”

I think Ricochet members need an assurance that Rob did not run over any pedestrians or mothers pushing baby carriages.

Regarding their discussion of the Star Wars film, The Last Jedi, I’m listening to them talk about how they felt when they watched the original Star Wars and then compare that nostalgia with the latest installment.

Having watched the original Star Wars myself at a young age, I do realize that I’m not going to bring back those feelings, no matter what they do.

    I’m ok with that.

You are here Rob. You are on. But are you centered? Are you actualizing your truth in this moment?

    Rob,

I loved that “I’m &%$#!#* on!” moment; I haven’t laughed that hard in some time. And Yeti, DON’T YOU DARE BLEEP THE EXPLETIVES. Comedy Gold.

Given that I was listening to a RICOCHET-brand podcast in the truck with my 12 year-old daughter on the drive home from her school….maybe you could edit out the f-bombs, in future.

I had a string of about 16 curses in my head that I was going to post here in response to Rob’s lack of control followed by a lack of competence in podcast editing, but I can hold myself to a standard that Ricochet did not today.

Leaving that particular passage in was not intentional. Our apologies to any underage listeners.

We’re not going to do anymore podcasts from the car. Consider this one a one off.

About analyzing shows and movies in pop-culture, instead of just enjoying them: When it was on television, I enjoyed Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I just thought of it as a guilty pleasure, but I then read a piece by Fred Barnes, which said it was all about good versus evil. That sounded right to me. You shouldn’t over-analyze everything, but sometimes it makes sense.

I replayed it about four times; once for one of my kids (she’s 27). I appreciate creative swearing.

p.s. My own outburst now seems amateurish in comparison to Rob.

    Spot on.

My kids react to the new Star Wars movies like I did when I was their age watching the originals. As for me, I’m just glad the excitement’s back.

    (They haven’t seen the prequels.)

Yup…I was laughing at all the “I am on”s. I didn’t expect it to take a turn to the Carolla or Rogan, which I don’t play over speakers for a reason.

Between Long’s Never Trumpism and his enjoyment of the abortion that is TLJ, he needs to removed from Ricochet. Yeah, we KNOW it’s a movie but that doesn’t mean one cannot write a coherent narrative and textured, nuanced characterizations that fall in line with the archetypes and themes from the OT!!!!

Fun speculation: this podcast will get more downloads than any other recent GLoP podcast.

Did I guess right? Inquiring minds want to know.

That hurts the collectability of my dirty version if you leave it up.

I started it midway through my morning commute and haven’t gotten to the infamous part yet.

I’ve always thought that what Ricochet and the Ricochet podcasts need is more profanity – maybe not at the level of the US Marines whose bonafides in the medium are unassailable. The F-word is my favorite curse word and it falls on my ears wrong when I can sense podcasters trying not to say it. If it were socially acceptable, I’d probably curse non-stop. However, I work in a professional environment, I’m a follower of Jesus and a lady. So no cursing.
