Is Mr. Mounce saying that Genesis is to be taken literally. e.g. A ‘marriage’ actually took place between the sibling offspring of an Adam and Eve? (Did the bride wear white…?)
I assume it’s obvious where I’m going with this. I’m not being facetious nor disrespectful.
But you are being smart-alecky. You use the word ‘literally’ as if it’s a strange way to interpret historical narrative.
Yes, the offspring of Adam and Eve would have married each other. It is one thing to say that you do not take Genesis 1-11, let’s say, literally, but let’s not act as if it is entirely implausible.
Of course parts of Genesis 1-11 are entirely implausible.
