I got to admit that I eat this stuff up. These celebrities can be so delusional (I’m smart, I’m interesting, You should listen to me because I’m so wonderful, etc) but we’re bad/mean/heartless if we don’t want to be part of it. I’m glad I don’t know more about Hilaria Baldwin and hope to not hear anything more about her.

Oh and Emily is exactly right that many, many people get their “news” as part of infotainment, celebritude. The more the rest of us can break through to as many people as possible and say these people are fake, don’t listen to them the better off we will be as a people and a country.

Reminds me of the classic romantic comedy, Love in the Afternoon (1957).

A Parisian music student (Audrey Hepburn) borrows incidents from the files of her PI dad (Maurice Chevalier) to fascinate a scandal-prone playboy (Gary Cooper).

Of course, in the movie the girl’s pose (as a sophisticated adventuress) was not a money making deal.

Added later:  Also, in the movie, the older guy finds out the truth before he marries the girl!
