Once you get over a certain age, it’s massively stupid to date anybody with differing political views.
The other thing is, people on the left dislike sticking to the details of public policy. If you are a conservative or a libertarian, how are you going to cope with that? There are definitely a few Republicans like that that just want to talk about how upstanding their team is and getting suburban women to vote for them, but those people are idiots.
Within conservatism, I thought this was a pretty good interview with Pedro Gonzales, if you’re worried about those differences
