Wow, ladies! That was a whole Administration’s worth of topics in 53 minutes. Governmental policy should be pro-citizen outcomes based. Instead it’s being written by those who want the outcomes of more votes, campaign cash, and personal power. Given that, simply less is more. As a social worker, I have seen the tangible evolution of the culture of poverty where behaviors that ensure multi-generations will remain govt dependent are enshrined and taught in these communities: single moms, multiple kids, having children deemed disabled (ADHD), selling your free prescription drugs, not working to keep benefits, etc. all are cash cows. The “coalition” is not worth it. Let’s focus on genuine human inclinations and write policies to bring out the best and minimize the worst in us.

Human Alienation (not economic) is the root of many cultural ills. Big Tech solutions allow us to not see the face of someone we visciously attack for personal validation. We miss the smile of our neighbor in the store as packages arrive on our porch. We can watch porn, gamble, and buy our drugs…or a sex trafficked person…online in secret. While we are discouraged from congregating to worship God, we are consuming ungodly amounts of toxic ideas that foment dehumanization of each other.  We need to promote tech as a TOOL, not a religion, and get back to a very simple Commandment to Love Your Neighbor as Yourself. Turn off your phone. Go to church. Volunteer to help someone. Enjoy nature with other people. Re-Humanize America.
