The first half hour was a Trump-bashing festival, full of armchair personality analysis, mind-reading, and pure guesswork (about what intelligence agencies were telling Trump about covid-19 in February, for example). and Illogical statements. No matter what the date that Trump learned the full impact of covid-19, he waited too long to do anything. No matter what the date? Really?
And no dissenting voices. Jonah was particularly anxious to use his mind reading skills to apply bad motivations on Trump’s behalf even when the results were good. Twice Jonah used emotional words to describe his thoughts about Trump’s actions: “upset” and “angry.”
Compare Jonah’s condemnation of virtually all things Trump, with his praise of Cuomo. Cuomo would shred the US constitution within seconds of taking office. He is a walking disaster for conservatism and Americanism. Open borders, anti-2nd amendment, pro-abortion, anti freedom of religion, anti freedom of speech.
This is the opposite of smart political talk.
@TerryS You hit the nail on the head. There is a certain snarky smugness about so many #NeverTrumpers that is so over the top that THIS former #NeverTrumper actually put aside the Trump Persona and started to pay attention to Trump The Policy Guy. You know…the ones that cut thousands of pages off the Federal Register and recognized the capital of Israel and actually told China that business as usual is over and deregulated and boosted energy independence…That Policy Guy. This newest round of Let’s Dump on Donald can be summed up :Why didn’t he know and do what he did not know or do before he did or didn’t know or do it? Did he? How did we ever elect this jerk? See???I’m OK and now Bill Kristol and George Will are my pals. Whew!
I think Donald Trump is an embarrassing jackass. But oh my gosh, Jonah, please find something else to talk about. Your whiny ranting has really become difficult to listen to.
