What do you get when you put Dave Carter, Dave Sussman, and David Deeble on the same podcast (other than preliminary plans for world domination)? As Dave Carter described the conversation, “It was, in turn, nuts, hilarious, serious, and analytical. In other words, you could rope us off and charge admission to view.” After some initial difficulty figuring out how to do a three-way Skype call, the gentlemen nearly called this episode “Three Old Guys and Their Electronic Devices,” but elected instead to start their own law firm for reasons you’ll have to hear for yourself to understand.

It was a great pleasure to join you and Dave, Dave. I now look forward to going on a three-day Benny Hill bender.

Thanks Dave. I really enjoyed having you and Dave on the show. Benny Hill sounds good. I’ll supply the whiskey.

I found this to be a very enjoyable podcast. I am a bit of a political junkie, but I found that the light-handed approach to politics in this case was quite pleasant. I never watched Benny Hill, however, I was a great fan of Monty Python. I also had the opportunity through an uncle of my first wife, back in the 1970s to go to the Magic Castle, an experience of a lifetime. I had never been much of a fan of magic, but that was something that no one could fail to be enthralled by. I remember waiting on line outside of one of the rooms and having a person on line in front of me pull out a deck of cards and do a series of fantastic tricks at such close quarters that it still amazes me, and he was part of the audience, not a performer. The entire evening remains a theatrical highlight of my life.

Anyway, thank you Dave Carter and your other two Daves for a very pleasant Sunday morning discussion. (Not that you did it then, but it is when I chose to listen.)

It most certainly did. The chemistry was perfect.

It’s the “Triple D” podcast!!  (With apologies to Guy Fieri……)

    I agree with @eugenekriegsmann…..great conversation!

One of the Daves (not sure whether it was S or D—-they sound pretty similar on my tinny laptop speaker) said he wasn’t sure why the NYT couldn’t charge a subscription fee, like the WSJ does.   I’m pretty sure they tried it a few years ago, and it was an abysmal failure.  It was quickly abandoned.

It is interesting that only the WSJ still has content that people are actually willing to pay for.   I haven’t subscribed myself, because I think they’ve dumbed the content down, other than the editorial page.  The dumbing-down started prior to the Murdoch purchase, but I think it accelerated after that.

A very enjoyable listen!  I think Adam Carolla is worth mentioning as a comedian who is right of center.  He is also teaming with Dennis Prager, so even more so.

Another fine podcast you’ve gotten me into. And, oh, the memories. Benny Hill, Monty Python, Dave Allen at Large, Doctor Who. All of those shows I watched at a certain age long ago before the dawn of this golden age.
