Buckley Jr. and came to work as a Special Assistant to President Reagan, to what Christmas is like in the Robinson household (spoiler alert — it includes Peter singing tenor).  Rob Long called in with a very poignant Christmas greeting, followed by Dave settling in for a memorable conversation with a fellow retired military veteran and dear friend, Bob Lee, whom Dave has known for some 32 years now. Oh yes, and Alphonse Fontenot makes an appearance to tell The Cajun Night Before Christmas. You may be laughing one moment and getting a lump in your throat the next, but we guarantee you’ll enjoy every single minute of this show.

    Love this podcast. I will play the Cajun Night Before Christmas for my son so he can work on his accent and start reading it to his son. Oh and of course – Geaux Tigers!

    Look Bob, if you weren’t drunk, you’ve nobody to blame but yourself. You could have popped the seal on that bottle anytime, but nooooooo!  You didn’t. No worries.  I’ll have a drink for you!  What are friends for!

    My family also had Santa visit and opened gifts on Christmas Eve. That was a carryover from my father’s childhood, with his German mother. I am told it is a German tradition.

    Brussels Sprouts – yech! Star fruit no opinion. My family too opened presents on Christmas Eve. I think of it as more a Protestant thing myself since as a Catholic we now open presents on Christmas Day if not sometime in the Octave or even Epiphany depending on when the family can get together. For awhile we tried to save a least one present for Epiphany but that was a spotty tradition at best.
