On today’s show, we talk to Jake Sherman, the Politico Playbook writer who has a new book called “The Hill To Die On: The Battle for Congress and the Future of Trump’s America.” He examines the first two years of Donald Trump’s presidency and some of the biggest moments in Washington.

We also share your letters and an inspiring story about a college athlete who has chosen hope over despair despite a serious leg injury.

From Legal Outlet book review user comments:

Pro-Nancy Pelosi, Anti-Trump Progressivism I downloaded the sample of this book and found it informative, if not somewhat interesting. I glanced through the book at the local book store to try to get a feeling for the overall tone of the book. As a conservative, I got very suspicious. I then read the review of the book in The Guardian (U.S. edition) and finally got the message, this is a book critical of the GOP, President Trump and various republican leaders, past and present. I get enough Anti-Trump on TV and print media, I don’t…

The official blurb points to the author, featured in this podcast, pitching Paul (“Lying”) Ryan as the hero, trying to save the GOP from those wild-eyed extremists (Mark Meadows) and The Great Big Ugly Man [who] came up and tied his horse to [the good, sensible folks].

So, hard pass on this podcast.
