One of Donald Trump‘s favorite techniques is: “good cop, bad cop“.

This explains what he has been doing with North Korea, first threatening to nuke “little rocket man“ (bad cop), then praising him as wise and enlightened leader (good cop).

In the case of Russia, Donald Trump stocked his administration with Russia hawks, so they can play bad cop, while he plays good cop and pats Putin on the head.  No doubt, whenever they meet, he complains to Putin that “those damn neocons are forcing my hand!“
