We also cover the following stories:

  • House Democrats release a new impeachment report.
  • President Trump has a strained exchange with French President Macron.
  • Facing charges over his use of campaign dollars, Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., pleads guilty.

Always enjoy hearing from Mr. Douthat. I agree generally with him about the state of religion in the US. However, when the economic downturn came in 2007, I did not notice much of a return to religion during those hard times. I wonder if the government is now our community and only an almost catastrophic situation will cause a true turn back to religion.
