Today’s podcast takes up, again, the baffling refusal of Republicans running against Donald Trump to…run against Donald Trump. How do they think they can beat him if they don’t try to beat him? Also, the immigration crisis and the indictment of the subway chokeholder. Give a listen.

I cannot listen anymore to the Commentary hosts repeat their same song about Trump is bad and that nothing the Left Media-Government does is responsible for Trump’s electoral record.   There is a distinction between “rigged” and “stolen”.

At the CNN Town Hall I heard Trump only saying that the 2020 election was rigged. ( See Mollie Hemingway’s book. )

They are blind to their own one-sidedness on the topic of DJT.  They pretend that they are mere observers.  I myself would prefer the Florida Governor, but there is no sense listening to 4 people who all agree on the tendentious claim that Trump is the scourge and would lose if nominated.  ( I am afraid that that is true, but I will not be convinced  by “polls” which are exercises in game theory.)

How they could not even see that the inappropriateness of K. Collins’ open hostility to the candidate at the CNN Town Hall event is beyond me.   She seemed to think that she was having a debate with Trump.  That is how she acted.  The Commentary hosts apparently felt that was just fine.

This claim that one partisan side has the right to claim what are the facts & that that entitles them to interrupt, ban and censor anyone who has a different view or interpretation as to  the facts, is simply false.   That claim cannot stand.  People have a right to be heard, to state how they see things no matter how much you and your friends do not agree.    — Please take the opportunity to examine your part in the echo chamber.

I agree – when it’s Trump talk – I skip – same old talking points – I understand their view about Trump but Biden has most of the same attributes and is incompetent to boot and yet he never gets the level of ire from JPod and crew

I don’t know . . .  I’m a regular listener and I think they’ve been very persistent in their criticisms of the Biden administration. Of course, they’ve also been free with their criticisms of Trump. Works for me.

these establishment figures are completely clueless.  Trump said his objective re: RU/UKR would be to get the two sides to stop killing each other.  And he refused to side with UKR.    No other republican candidates are willing/allowed to take that position.  Yet that is what republican voters want.

Trump also said he would pardon the Jan 6 protesters.   Again, spot on for me.  Those people are obvious political prisoners.  The establishment does not allow that position, which precludes the other candidates from being the champion of the people.

Possibly, the establishment has to blame itself for the failure of their candidates to garner any interest from the voters??  Heck, simply allow the issues to be discussed.
