    “We meant well” is the philosophical partner of “Do something” to the Left.

    To them, taking “bold decisive action” and it having bad results is ultimately better than doing nothing and not screwing anything up.

    The Kevin McCarthy as Larry Tate analogy is perfect, best I’ve heard in a long time. 

    I can also see an Angel Martin level of weaseliness in him as well.
