This is all in hopes that you will construct better arguments, not trying to change your minds as you’d probably loose your funding if you did. BUT doesn’t mean you couldn’t make better ones.

I really think you all are mischaracterizing the objections to the war from people on your general side of the isle.
Christine doesn’t seem to understand the objection to the “globalists” and strawmans it to be as undefinable as CRT…
I am very open to being persuaded to support the Ukraine war more; but if you are to persuade people that don’t already agree with you, TRY TO UNDERSTAND THEIR PERSPECTIVE MORE! Christine and John are utterly botching the points. Portray the argument properly and rebut it. Don’t halfass it and get upset or be perplexed when people push back at your weak arguments.

How about some easy definitions for you guys.
CRT: Adding race to the toolbox of Marxist ideology.
Globalists: Powerful cooperate and public interests operating on the global stage that create rules for thee not for me, are usually unelected, advocate for singular global governance (including backdoor governing).

Globalists including the Biden admin are pushing some very bizarre stuff. WHO agreements, ESG, infrastructure that is not roads and bridges but things one might see as surveillance; and childcare that makes the state look like more of a parent than the “birth givers”. How about the plans for 15min cities? The Western tradition of freedom has ended at the level “globalists” play. One of those playgrounds is in Ukraine.

This leads me into the lack of support for the military. The military is the strong arm of what some would say the globalists. Why would young people raised by families that are skittish to possible infringements on freedom want to promote or send their children to the military? Never mind if they are fat or criminal… Say you were to change the policy to tap into those that do not qualify currently, why would they want to serve a nation that doesn’t serve their interests? That is the question you should answer…

John, Biden was on the internet trying to take your ar-15… Even worse than that.
Quote from Joebiden.com “Biden will enact legislation to prohibit all online sales of firearms, ammunition, kits, and gun parts.”
What is a gun part? A grip, a scope a rail, a bipod?
If you go to the wayback machine it says it on his website very clearly…

Biden was just nowhere to be seen and everyone was distracted with orange man bad syndrome. Mind you Trump got more votes his second time around than his first. So that leads me to think more people are watching and understand than you let on…

Very strong points!! I understand the argument to support Ukraine though I may not agree with the entire argument. However being called stupid or a Nazi like person who supports Putin because I may have some reservations with the arguments is growing tiresome.

Similar with the East Palestine….I get and agree to a large extent that this does not really fall under the Dept. of Transportation or maybe even the Federal Government. We can have that argument….but that is not the rub….the rub is that many of these citizens feel abandoned by their local, state and federal govts. Which this accentuates. The other rub is that if Donald Trump or any Republican was in office and acted like the Biden administration NPR et al would be relentless at how heartless the president is. The final rub is that think if this incident were in Marthas Vineyard or in some other community that is a Democratic stronghold there is no doubt that Joe Biden would have been there on a horse if need be.

This trope by so many on the right that if you question the Ukraine war or think that those in East Palestine should be taken seriously that you are some Hungarian populist nut bag is getting old.

Finally…why does no one of the commentariat either left or right worry about left wing populism which gave us Stalin, Mao, Polpot, Che, etal ( and one could argue Hitler)? I’ve never heard Jonah or David, or John or Abe really ever call out the left wing populism or if they do it’s always yea…but the right populists…now there’s you’re enemy…..that also grows tiresome.

Jonah esp ignores the “globalists” but these guys either ignore or don’t care about ESG or DEI that is affecting most companies.  He makes fun on those who worry about what Davos man pushing the Overton window.  Meanwhile companies like Blackrock keeps pusing ESG.

Or if they do mention it, it’s always in a siloed compartmentalized “look at this, it’s silly incident” not really apart of the larger picture type thing.

Prediction, if the war drags on and turns into some kind of attrition, the Biden admin is going to be urged to tie funding to some kind of social justice DEI initiative to Ukraine. It’s going to be really fun to see how the Azov Regiment reacts when weapons drops are coupled with radical gender theory training…

She should offer him a job.
If she was funny, she should publicly ask Don “did the twink you were with last night think you were in your prime?”

I thought it Don’s co-host were on the ball one of them would have said ‘What’s the prime for a gay guy Don? 20, 25?’

Well, If the co hosts were pros trying to get his job, all they had to do was keep Don talking lol… Not sure if they were conscious of it or not, but all those hosts are job seeking lunatics.

Tin foil hat: CNN put Don in this position, maybe a producer put the “prime” thing in his head knowing he would say it. Don is a joke and the new CNN management has been trying to slowly change the org.

We know this because of Katrina.

In fairness, none of those monsters were elected.
