John Podhoretz keeps saying the moon landing cost , e.g., $5 trillion. No. Stop saying that. The official figure for the Saturn-Apollo program released by NASA circa 1975 (when I was a curator at the National Air & Space Museum) was $20 billion from Mercury through SkyLab. That would be about $200 billion in current dollars.
Also, John’s description of how jail cells have no place on the ceiling for attaching a rope comes from a description of suicide-watch cells. Epstein was not under suicide watch.
$20 Billion in 1975 equivalent to $200 Billion today? Something doesn’t sound right with that math.
Biden isnt quite as gaffe proof as Trump. There are not the plethora of pictures of maidens in distress, in clutches of Trump, like there are of Biden… You could just do an image collage of these pictures with a Biden speech running over top of it… Joe Biden – the handy idiot.
At some point, he’ll have to excite the black community for turn out – and they just wont. The Obama coalition is the cult of Obama – if he’s not on the ballot, they’re not there to cast it.
Wouldn’t it be exciting if they have a primary that nobody wins? 12 candidates on the ballot and nobody cracks 30%.
How are these candidates, polling at 0% and lower – still fundraising and running?
“‘I Saw Her Standing There’ is a song by the English rock band the Beatles credited to Paul McCartney and John Lennon, but written primarily by McCartney.
…the song was conceived by McCartney when driving home from a Beatles’ concert in Southport, Lancashire as a modern take on the traditional song ‘As I Roved Out’, a version of ‘Seventeen Come Sunday’ that he had heard in Liverpool in 1960.”
“‘Seventeen Come Sunday’ … is an English folk song… The words were first published between 1838 and 1845. … An earlier version was first printed on a broadside of around 1810…”
…
Paul McCartney would have been 17 or 18 in 1960.
You better rush and finish any song with such lyrics before you turn 18?
…
I used to listen to Dennis Miller’s radio show when it was on years ago. One of the bumper music songs was Jethro Tull’s “Aqualung” which begins…
After coming back from a commercial break one day, Dennis said something like, “Uh, let’s not play that song anymore…”
Biden yanks a female reporter by the arm?
But wasn’t it supposed to be really bad when Corey Lewandowski grabbed Michelle Fields’ arm to get her to move out of the way?
Christine Rosen was one of several conservative-leaning women such as Christina Hoff Sommers, Bethany Mandel, Emily Zanotti, Elisha Krauss, Karol Markowicz, Kristen Soltis Anderson, Mona Charen, Sarah Rumpf, Brooke Rogers, S.E. Cupp, Mary Katharine Ham, and Mary Chastain who signed a letter urging Trump to fire Lewandowski.
(About the only famous women to support Trump on March 10, 2016, would have been Sarah Palin, Jan Brewer, and Ann Coulter.)
A month later, Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg said that his office would not prosecute Lewandowski, stating that “the evidence cannot prove all legally required elements of the crime alleged and is insufficient to support a criminal prosecution.” (It was the “not exonerated standard” which is a legal standard that only applies to Trump associates.)
Conservative men are not to receive due process anywhere including on a college campus — unless perhaps such as person is named Brett Kavanaugh?
…
I had some mixed feelings about the Lewandowski case. Reporters can only be so aggressive. When they all act aggressive all the time, bad things will happen. I was supporting Ted Cruz at the time.
Biden and Lewandowski and Trump and Clinton are ALL disgusting with women. I am so sick of the “Uncle Joe” BS with Biden. He is not a nice man or a smart man. Why can’t we get better choices?
The Podhoretz/State Fair talk is peak bubble Pod. Have a corndog or fried Kool Aid, John, they’re quite good.
I assume Pod calls anything south of Houston “the suburbs” :)
