How is it weird to make a unifying statement that good people exist on both sides of the statue debate???
How is that WEIRD??? Isn’t that what we want? Unifying Americans? Oh… no… it has to be unifying around the left’s agenda. You can’t say good people exist on the right! That’s the same as giving aid and comfort to white supremacists.
Come on. Your language affects how people absorb information. Trump’s statement on Charlottesville was CORRECT. Not WEIRD.
Great podcast. I do think that the Republican party is very divided on what its agenda should be if it were to take power back. Obviously, border control is high on the list. But there is less agreement beyond that.
Spending/debt/deficits – I remember when this was a plank – no one seems to care any more
Charlottesville was planned and happened in a wholly left jurisdiction. If you can’t see “Reichstag fire” here you’re not even looking. It’s worse in a way—the NSDAP regime only exploited (ruthlessly) the supposed Berlin atrocity; most historians believe the did not create or encourage it from the beginning.
Similarly Horst Wessel was a punk who was killed in a squalid underworld fight, but was turned into a martyr and hero by the regime. Make your own list of American leftist Wessels, cynically created and exploited.
For me, I see bigger issues that need to be addressed that are contributory to the fiscal stuff.
I thought we were making progress before COVID. What you do in a labor shortage with wages rising and limiting immigration is start lowering welfare. That puts more people into the market. Every time there’s a labor shortage, keep doing that until you aren’t getting anywhere anymore. THEN start increasing immigration.
It seemed we were on that trajectory. But the COVID and now everyone is on government assistance and the entire economy is engulfed with leftist disasters.
