This conversation would be more interesting if it was broadened to ask why the voters have so few presidential candidates to choose from. What is stopping experienced democrats from stepping forward and announce their candidacy? And no republicans are willing/able to successfully address the issues and challenge Trump?
Consider that politics has been criminalized to such a degree that a large number of people in the public space are unwilling to be an actual candidate. NY Times today highlights staff people behind Biden. All have a lot of experience in Washington. Yet seemingly none would want to be an actual office holder.
It’s not only Biden’s age. Biden Character and competency should also be called into question. Biden is all of the things corporate media (and JPOD) hates in Trump plus his is infirmed and incompetent.
But what to do about Trump? There will be no competent republicans willing to serve in his administration. And if he is President the left will activate Antifa and BLM to once again start to destroy things. Trump had no answer to them in his first administration.
I listened to the blathering about the alleged rape committed by Trump, and how Biden could refuse to shake hands with him, and I’m still waiting for them to mention the sexual-assault allegation against Biden. Joe Biden sexual assault allegation – Wikipedia “During the 2020 election campaign for President of the United States in March 2020, Tara Reade, a former staffer in Joe Biden’s U.S. Senate office, alleged that Biden, the former U.S. vice president and Democratic nominee in the 2020 presidential election, sexually assaulted her in 1993 in a Capitol Hill office building when she was a staff assistant in his office. Biden denied Reade’s allegation.”
The Democrats need Trump as a foil to prop up shaky ol’ Joe. The Republicans will settle on Trump in a sad replay of the Flight 93 scenario. All the while the majority of Americans stand off to the side and mutter to themselves, “Come on guys, do better.”
Leaving partisanship aside for a moment, just as a citizen, was anyone else as stunned as I was at Biden’s inability to remember that he went to Ireland this month? Kids were interviewing him and one asked about his last overseas trip and he could not answer. Another kid had to call out, “Ireland!” He just got back less than two weeks before. That is scary, friends.
And the NYT-WaPo-NBC-CBS.. don’t find that newsworthy? I am old enough to remember the week’s worth of stories when Dan Quayle misspelled potato.
