Today’s podcast takes up Donald Trump’s statement that Republican voters will not turn out to vote unless the 2020 vote is somehow resolved in his favor. What does this portend? Will the results in the Virginia and New Jersey gubernatorial elections suggest a different future? And what about all this “national divorce” stuff? Give a listen.

America is a rotting corpse. The Commentary guys have lived in New York for so long, they no longer notice the stench. (Or maybe they can’t smell it because of the masks they wear 24/7.)

First, people lock themselves in the social-media outrage machine because they’re bored and lack anything more edifying to do. Second, the “national divorce” rhetoric is a reflection of the right’s inability to build and pass on a functional culture. Yes, you can live in Arkansas rather than San Francisco, if you’re so inclined, but it doesn’t matter where you are: San Francisco will still own your children’s minds.

No Republican candidate for President would have won in 2008 or 2012; Barack Obama was simply too popular. Any Republican candidate would have won in 2016; Hilary Clinton was that bad. Any Republican other than Donald Trump would have won in 2020; Joe Biden was that feeble. I don’t think Donald Trump is quite the winner some people say he is. Nevertheless it is obvious he is attempting to set himself up as Boss of the Republican Party. I can only hope that in one year’s time folks inclined to vote Republican will realize it is time to move on.

Yes it was. Trump is a disgusting sore loser and thinks everything is about him. Republicans need to realize that he needs to go away.

Yeah. If the cause is that dependent on a single man, it’s a hopeless one. What happens if Trump rides the great golden escalator to the sky before 2024?

The GOP should be threatened even more. They deserve everything they have coming. He should “threaten” the Commentary podcasters too. Or maybe just call them losers. Professional losers, but losers nonetheless. But they aren’t important enough to bother.

I guess context isn’t important to some people.

The last reference was to Trump, so it means they aren’t important enough for him to bother with.

Me, I work professionally as a clown. It’s my day off and I have a few moments to comment.

This is complete crap as analysis. Of course, it can’t be proven so you can write this kind of speculation all day long and get away with it.

But for credibility’s sake, I don’t think you can declare that “any Republican candidate” would have beaten Hillary Clinton and that no candidate could have beaten Obama. McCain all but threw the election and Romney was pathetic.

But go ahead and live in your dream world.

I meant Trump. He is gunning for any Republican candidate for higher office who refuses to publicly acknowledge the 2020 was fraudulent. A litmus test, pure and simple. And I’m hoping he doesn’t get away with it.

No. McCain lost, Romney lost, Trump won. Then got an unprecedented amount of votes.
You will be governed by Democrats forever because you actually don’t really care. If you did, you’d look to change your strategy and seek another angle other than endless foreign wars, federal and corporate subjugation, open borders and Democrat- lite policies.

Trump lost. He is not the only one with a good angle. I DO care. You only seem to care about Trump. And for crying out loud STOP with the endless war BS. That is a Democrat talking point. I don’t know what Trump has to do before you see him as he really is. He’s better than Biden or any other of the bunch that ran last time, but that isn’t saying much. He doesn’t deserve your defense of him and there are much better people out there who do.

I see nothing wrong with that statement. If that issue isn’t dealt with, Republicans “won’t be voting” they will submit ballots perhaps but they won’t be counted. If people think their vote won’t count they usually don’t vote.

I don’t see the statement as a threat- like he’s telling people not to vote. He’s simply stating an obvious truth.

No one wants to relitigate the vote fraud. But if people say there’s no vote fraud, or that it was insignificant, doesn’t deserve to be advising anyone on politics because they don’t know Democrats and machine politics.
Are you kidding? Democrats didn’t cheat with mail-in ballots?

Honestly, saying there were no hijinks in 2020 is ridiculous.

There was cheating and you know what? Most Americans do not care because they just wanted Trump gone. Now all he talks about is the cheating and most Americans are sick and tired of it all. I want clean elections but I am not about to go and defend Trump or think he is the only way to get them. He is not worth it.

Perhaps because it was expressed in typical Trumpian syntax. The way I read it is: Republicans, or at least those loyal to Trump, will simply stay away from the ballot box until the matter of 2020 is settled. But then he adds it’s “the single most important thing for Republicans to do” which leads me to assume that Trumps wants them to withhold their votes, which of course would spell doom for Republican candidates across the country. Which does come across as kind of a threat.

Listen, I don’t care about Trump the man. I care about the nation.
I will push back on the  meaningless and counterproductive wars perpetrated by Democrats and Republicans. There’s no way I will trust any of these people again with our sons and daughters. And you shouldn’t either.

My advice – and I assure you it’s better than you will get from the virtue-signaling wimps in the GOP – is for you to not make Trump the issue, because if it’s him that’s the issue, your faction will lose.

Im fine with DeSantis or Rand Paul. No more neocons or NTers. They are worthless.

It’s amazing that the GOP still hasn’t gotten the message. They are not our friends. And watch, they don’t like Rand Paul or DeSantis either. It’s not Trump they really hate, it’s anyone who threatens their narrow agenda. I’ve seen it happening for years. Trump was just the final proof they are frauds.

Then don’t defend every stupid thing he says! The things he says hurt people like Desantis even more than your “neocons”. There are plenty of good people in the GOP. There are no good people in the DNC. Not even Sinema and Manchin. There are only hustlers.

Heck, I don’t support anyone unquestioningly. Not even Desantis who I like a lot! I just want Trump to stop raising money for HIMSELF and tell his voters to get behind a good candidate like Desantis and to stop telling people everything is rigged so no point in voting! Those “worthless” people in Georgia would have stopped Biden’s stupid taxing and spending and McConnell would be leader. Voting still matters. It is still a binary choice and Trump must not be one of the choices because if he is, we will lose.

Honestly, this is not that hard.

I didn’t read it that way. “It” in “It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do,” refers to “solve the Presidential Election Fraud.” The “Republicans” in that sentence are elected Republicans, i.e., swamp donkeys in Washington, D.C. If the Republicans in Congress don’t solve the “Presidential Election Fraud of 2020” then the other Republicans, the voters, will have no reason to vote for Republican candidates.

Read it any way you like, but it means Democrats in control no matter how you read it. There are literally trillions of reasons to vote for what you call Swamp Donkeys. Do you really think Trump is the only hope we have? Then we are doomed because he is a fraud.
