On this week’s podcast, Commentary editor John Podhoretz asks his colleagues Abe Greenwald and Noah Rothman whether there are signs and portents indicating that at long last the Republican party is souring on its frontrunner. One supporter calls him a 16 year old. Anderson Cooper calls him a 5 year old. Women don’t like him. It appears Wisconsin Republicans don’t like him. Yes, it’s all good news until Podhoretz comes with the requisite pail of icy cold water to splash all over your good mood. But—unlike last week—we end with a joke again!

This is the podcast of the year, hands down. Come ye all who are weary and orange with worry.

Not saying you will find comfort, exactly. But you will find sober and fact based projections and analysis by three extremely smart, unflinching dudes.

And i concur, the trump tide has officially turned.

I was an early adopter of Trump fatigue.

I have generally enjoyed this podcast but of late all it seems to be is an anti-Trump diatribe and I have heard much too much on that front.

Any conservative, and I am such, would think that Trump is immensely preferable to Hillary! or the Socialist, and get over the anti-Trumpism continually expressed.  But no, this stuff continues on and on and on and on.

So, I decided not to listen to this podcast.  I may be able to listen once the decisions have been made at the convention, but then maybe not.  I certainly won’t be logging in to Commentary’s website as the idea that I’d be treated to more of the same has no appeal.

The magazine is very good and wide-ranging, but the “Contentions” blog-site is exactly what you fear. Avoid it.

I must confess I was excited when I saw the title of this episode was “Trump Fatigue”. “Surely” I said “They’ve grown weary of their subject, and are discussing literally any other topic, if only for part of the podcast.”

Look, obviously Trump is an important subject, and you guys clearly fear for the republic and are doing everything you can to ward off disaster, but the monomania is getting wearisome.
