Just some advice about Hurricanes from somebody from south Florida. Don’t ever make fun of a Hurricane. Florence is about 1200 miles out to sea right now. She is already a Cat 3 and could easily hit Cat 5. She is about at Florida’s latitude right now but is expected to turn north. If she does she could go right up the East River and rain on your parade.

As you rightly observe, a member of Trump’s administration would have nothing to gain by revealing that there was a resistance cell inside the White House.
Nothing.
Therefore it was not written by a member of the Trump administration; it is fanfic written by a leftist (perhaps an NYT staffer) to cause chaos and to bolster the hopes of the resistance.
Occam says so.
