Today we take up the prevarication and plain dishonesty of university presidents during the House committee hearing on campus anti-Semitism. One claims not to know about foreign funding and another doesn’t think incitement to anti-Semitic violence is a conduct violation. For Harvard, UPenn, MIT, and others, this was a watershed moment. Give a listen.

Speaking of institutions that are clearly damaging the country, if all you knew about this hearing came from reading the NYT, you would think that the frivolous right-wing Republicans, inexplicably trying to tie campuses to the same tired themes they have been whining about for years, rudely and unfairly hammered these poor academics who came well prepared with facts and deftly parried the demagoguery.

    Glad I listened to Commentary.
