What the heck is going on in the United Kingdom? We don’t really know, but neither, it seems, do they, so the COMMENTARY podcast crew feels no compunction about sounding off about it. Also, a brief review of the 2020 Democrats’ seven-hour climate change town hall that no one who wasn’t paid to do so watched in its entirety. Speculation abounds in this episode.

A correction to something John said: the size of the House of Representatives is not in the Constitution; it is set by law. It used to grow with population until it was fixed at 435 in the Apportionment Act of 1911. It can be changed at any time by simply passing another law.

@johnpodhoretz A correction: Theresa May did not govern with the help of the Scottish National Party (SNP), she came to an agreement with the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) of Northern Ireland which gave her a majority of 1 in the House of Commons.
