The violence in American cities has done nothing for Donald Trump’s polling. But if voters have determined that Biden is a remedy for urban unrest, among other things, and that remedy proves ineffectual, the counterreaction may be profound.

Podhoretz is flat out wrong to try to pin the stolen election fear on Trump. Has he forgotten the 2000 election? The Democrat/Gore camp tried everything they could to get the results in their favor. When that failed, they spent the eight years of the Bush administration reviling him for having stolen the election. This seems to be a constant theme with the Donkey Club. Go back as far as you like. Remeber the 1960 election? There is persuasive evidence that dead people in Chicago had a very loud voice in that one.
When a reporter -or was it a debate question- asked Trump in 2016 if he would abide by the results, it was a stupid “gotcha” question with only one sensible answer. Trump could have played it differently but he, like every candidate, had a complete right to reserve judgement and to contest any dubious results.
Meanwhile the legacy media gleefully report that Dems intend to contest any result except a Biden landslide.
