Does it matter that Donald Trump explicitly called for extra-Constitutional means to reinstall him as president somehow? Does it matter that Republicans aren’t lining up to denounce him? And does it matter that the Iranian regime announced it would disband its “morality police”? Give a listen.

Trump is the wronged party in the Twitter story.  Yet he is able to turn himself into the bad guy.

Are we on the same planet? The Twitter dump shows the collusion between social media sites and democrat party to block news from being disseminated to American voters.  Did they also collude to block news about the vaccine? The damage to communities caused by immigration?  Trump arguably just trying to emphasize the point that the collusion between democrats and social media should be criminally investigated since what they did, did skew the election.

Anyway, the big new last week and over the weekend was Elon.  He met and came to agreement with Tim Cook of Apple.  Met with Macron over EU matters. Both published informative and agreeable statements afterward. Launch ed the Tesla Semi, which promises to be a trucking industry game changer – and radically reduce diesel particulate emissions.  The twitter dump shows Elon as fearless by taking on the media establishment.  On  Saturday he had a public group chat with prominent social media figures, answering questions for 2 hours.

I could be wrong about this, but what I heard on the podcast was that the emails showed that part of Twitters staff made the elisions of the Hunter Biden story. There is no mention that this was in coordination with the Biden committee or the Democrat party. That they were obviously Democrat in their political leanings does not mean that they officially represented the party or were doing its bidding. That may be forthcoming, but claiming collusion before it has been proven has been the Democrats forte up until now.

The Commentary crowd refuses to recognize the obvious fact that the Constitution was shredded a long time ago and they stood by and watched.

“… The implications of these documents becomes more serious once the Biden campaign became the Biden administration. These documents show a back channel existed with President Biden’s campaign officials, but those same back channels appear to have continued to be used by Biden administration officials. If so, that would be when Twitter may have gone from a campaign ally to a surrogate for state censorship. As I have previously written, the administration cannot censor critics and cannot use agents for that purpose under the First Amendment. …”

Reading tweets this weekend, liberals were conceding that the Biden campaign was asking Twitter to block the release of news.  The firewall is to say that doing so is not illegal.  They  seem to concede that it would be illegal for a government official to ask social media sites to block an individual from speaking.

“The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President . . .” Article II, Constitution of the United States of America.

I don’t know . . . the Constitution seemed to be in good working order on Jan. 6, 2021. Strong work, Mr. Pence.

FWIW, I think Abe and Noah are right, and John is wrong to be overly concerned about Trump’s statements.  First of all, the number of people who believe the constitution of the US should be suspended is fewer than John seems to believe.  You can believe that in an alternate universe, where the media treated Trump fairly, he may have won the election.  But we don’t live in that universe.  We live in the universe where the media treated him unfairly, and for that and other reasons he lost.  There are any number of things in any election that could change the outcome   some of which are unfair to one candidate or another.  It doesn’t mean we have a do-over, the way we did in backyard sports as children.  I would be very surprised if there is some serious thought given by anyone to a do-over.
