John Podhoretz makes the point about the smell of pot. I recently walked around the Upper East Side of Manhattan. One upscale restaurant had a dress code in the window. Back when I was young, a dress code meant men had to wear coats and ties. This modern dress code includes the requirement that the patron not smell excessively of marijuana. The dress code also prohibited obscene messages on clothing, and the exposure of underwear.
