Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Today’s podcast takes up the fulfillment of what we’ve been warning against—the public-health people are lowering the boom again in a self-defeating effort to control the spread of the COVID variant by controlling the behavior of… the already vaccinated. We take apart the reasons proffered by the CDC director for this bizarre guidance. Then we talk about the shame of the attacks on the Capitol policemen who testified at the 1/6 hearing yesterday and more on the Olympics as psychodrama. Give a listen.

total crap to blame the protesters. These were working class people petitioning the government for redress of their grievances. If their behavior was so bad why was no one arrested? And what if congressional leaders had gone outside to listen to and speak to the protesters? Doing so would have made a world of difference.
As to the violence that day, acting out, banging on things at a protest is part of the theatrics of the event. The protesters are there to be heard. In the language of the 1st amendment, to present their grievances. Congressional leaders made no effort to listen to the protesters. So yeah, make a show and storm the building. It is the job of the Capitol Hill police to keep people at bay. Grab people who are doing harm and arrest them. Kind of simple, actually.
