I think the resources most people are complaining about do not hinge only on tanks. It’s more the larger packages as a whole…
I think framing Jaffa types as all being raved Trump supporters like Paul Ingrassia is disingenuous. Not to say there aren’t people from that school who don’t support him. I understand you don’t like Claremont people because they aren’t neocons…. That tweet is not a good characterization of them or Jaffa. I believe there are an extraordinary amount of them in the DeSantis camp at the moment. In particular helping with the education policies DeSantis is crafting.
An organization is judged on the most unhinged member that it accepts as an associate in good standing.
There is some truth to that; but unlike say the Democrats, you don’t see anyone other than maybe 3 members really objecting to say AOC or the squad. There is however no evidence I’ve seen that Paul Ingrassia is pulling any of the more serious Claremonsters to his outrageous side. John to his credit, though slighting Jaffa, pointed out that Paul is straying from the fundamentals.
My frustration is that the neocons cant resist infighting with an admirable wing of conservatism. One that is doing A LOT of good “anti woke” work particularly in higher education. Work I see no neocon doing.
I don’t think that’s true. There are still an extraordinary amount of people that don’t see the Democrats as bat guano crazy and they have ever so many members that are bat guano crazy.
OR, they discount them as fringe but keep marching forward. Makes sense that neocons are exdemocrats because they still cannot kick the habit of attacking the right. Criticizing the fringe and in the process also a very admirable wing of conservatism.
