The final Commentary podcast of this week finds John Podhoretz, Noah Rothman, and Abe Greenwald arguing over whether the appointment of a special prosecutor might actually be good news for Donald Trump in that it will quiet the scandals down in the short term and allow the administration to get past the 5 pm hour every day without having a boulder fall on its head. John says yes, the other two say no. They also discuss the death of Roger Ailes and the parlous conduct of Sean Hannity in trying to change the news focus in a way that is a monstrous violation of a family’s grief. Give a listen.

Our only hope is for the GOP to push through major legislation (using the nuclear option) and rise above the fool in the White House. What have they got to lose at this point? Without tax cuts and Obamacare replaced, they are toast anyway.

Seth Rich was a 27 year old man… Not a boy or a kid, when did someone in his late 20’s become a child?

I dont think the conspiracy theory around Seth Rich’s murder are trying to pin it on John Podesta, they’re saying that the entire “Russian Hack of the DNC” story is fake, because 1 man leaked the DNC emails to wikileaks. That all the propaganda ginning up a hatred for a foreign scapegoat is wrong – morally and factually.

On the matter of misspelled words.  Who cares!  The Daily Shot , the “newsletter ” of record for this group constantly has misspelling in it, as well as National Review Online.  It’s annoying, but I overcome myself and don’t spend time ranting about it.  I not a fan of Trump and his loose cannon style is tiring, but is also one of many reasons for his election, for better or worse,  but in some cases at least he is fighting back.  Where as most of the Republican Party have spent decades, and even now, poke their heads out from under the bed to check which way the wind blows and cower and fail to act on the agendas that the election has dropped right in their laps.  “The people in the land are like giants in our sight, and we are like grasshoppers.”  If you know your Bible, you know how that turned out.
