One reason Donald Trump received the Republican nomination in 2016 was that Republicans have not “fought” and Trump was a “fighter”. The downside was that Trump was poor at picking his battles. One good lesson that Republicans should learn is to be more aggressive against Democrats when there is a good public case against them. The prospective Republican majority in the Senate needs to collect a belt full of scalps.
