Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
On this day 2 of the daily COMMENTARY podcast, we are joined by White House historian Tevi Troy, whose book Fight House you should all read, to talk about how White Houses deal with crises, the possibility that we are all overreacting to the virus, and a little bit on the Democratic primary. Give a listen.

I am listening to other podcasts talking about how incredibly corrupt the World Health Organization has been in covering up for the Chinese, and providing political cover and false information on the epidemic which makes some of what I hear going on at the White House pretty understandable.
When the institutions we depend on fail, how can our political leadership make good decisons.
Also you had an author of a very interesting book and you gave him a whole 30 seconds?
SERIOUSLY?!
It’s 12 minutes in before JPod lets Tevi Troy get a word in edgewise.
P.S.: Aargh!
I didn’t even make it that far. I got about 6 minutes into the podcast and had to stop when Noah Rothman started talking:
1. Trump brought impeachment upon himself.
2. Trump’s response to the corona virus has been disastrous.
Neither of these statements were followed by evidence or explanations (Podhoretz started talking again). It sounds like Noah’s TDS is getting worse. I’m not optimistic that quarantining himself from the podcast will help him recover, but if Commentary will give it a try they’ll definitely get more listeners. Until then, I wash my hands (thoroughly with soap for 20 seconds) of this podcast.
I was looking forward to this one, but perhaps I should skip it.
…
Can we impeach Noah? I think he might have brought it upon himself.
(Is anyone on Ricochet going to listen if the podcast is nothing but Joe Biden voters? Heck, half or maybe a third of the people on Ricochet didn’t even vote for Trump.)
Not sure I’m going to be able to handle a daily Commentary podcast.
I know Pod thinks himself a raconteur, but I have to agree with other comments re: not getting to the guest and also the nagging contrarianism of Noah every day might be a bit too much. I still listen twice a week and wonder if Noah’s ever voted for a Republican.
Do a search on “Noah Rothman NBC“ and you will see quite a few examples of Rothman going into battle with liberals, especially on MSNBC.
I dare say, if Rothman didn’t have a reputation for being critical of Trump, they probably wouldn’t let him on their shows at all.
Let’s impeach JPod instead!
JPOD is not the problem with the podcast, other than not letting his guest talk.
I mean people complain about Trump being a narcicist, but this episode would make Trump go and say let the man speak.
