With Nancy Pelosi calling on her committee chairs to produce articles of impeachment, it seems Donald Trump is sure to face a trial in the Senate. But have the politics of impeachment gotten away from Democrats? Also, what does Kamala Harris’s exit from the presidential race say about the Democratic Party?

I think the Biden ad will backfire with a number of groups. The Obama voters who switched to Trump won’t like it. Those suburban females won’t like it because they will see Trudeau, Macron and Johnson acting like a bunch of tittering school girls and Biden supporting them. And of course Trumpers will be outraged and even more determined to vote for Trump. The only people impressed by the ad are die hard, “impeach the motherf……..” Democrats who are probably voting for Warren, Buttigieg or Sanders.

Abe is generally sober-minded and realistic when it comes to this and other Trump related issues. John and Noah do not see things clearly. I would short their predictions….

Noah is “Leonard” on The Big Bang Theory. I can’t hear him talk without seeing Johnny Galecki mouthing the words. And, of course, all the words tend to sound like Benjamin Wittes.

Trump can’t go after Biden for being handsy with women because he too has that problem? Are you kidding? Attacking people for having his own flaws is pretty much Trump’s brand!

He attacked Obama for “world leaders laughing at the US”. He attacked Obama for bailing out the auto industry at less than half the price of his current (and self-inflicted) farm bailouts. He attacked Obama for an unbalanced budget. He uses unsecured cell phones and unsecured servers, and leaked classified information to the Russians inside the Oval Office. He went after Hillary for corruption. He’s now going after Biden for letting his kids profit from being related to him.

And lest we forget, on this very topic, Trump attacked Hillary for Bill’s philandering! He has no sense of personal shame and will absolutely attack his opponents in the most tone-deaf fashion available to him.

And his defenders will nod their heads and go, “Sounds right, we can’t let anybody like that run the country”.

I weep for America. So few people actually have principles anymore.
