Today on the podcast, the COMMENTARY Magazine crew (John Podhoretz, Noah Rothman, and Abe Greenwald) discuss the lack of money, lack of poll strength, and general lack of a path to victory enjoyed by Donald Trump.

Sorry. They had nothing else to talk about. Have you talked about anything else?

Maybe I’ll circle back a little later when I’m stronger.  I got 3 minutes in, before hitting my “kvetch” limit.  All were solid takes–I’m sure.  The variations on the Trump Campaign theme were inbounds; I like the podcast.  I like podcasters….

How long after the candy drops out should one continue to beat the piñata for sport?  Or as Billy Shakespeare framed the question,  “To beat or not to beat….?”

Obama didn’t create Trump. Republican primary voters did. You guys sound like Clinton commercials. Donald J. Trump broke George W. Bush’s record with the most votes won by any Republican Primary Candidate in party history– 13,300,472 — 4,000,000 more than Romney got in 2012. Before your run to the convention to try to replace him, you might keep those voters in mind.

It would be a lot better if they didn’t talk about him in that whiny exasperated tone of voice.

Sounds like my decision to stop listening to Ricochet podcasts was the right one. The once witty and humorous banter now strikes me as exceedingly tedious. But, I wouldn’t have it any other way…now I know.
