Podhoretz on Trump’s “not realizing he’s in charge of the justice system”:
Trump’s experience of the US justice system is that his Constitutional powers are repeatedly usurped by progressive judges — who simply don’t care about the Constitution, except insofar as it is a “useful myth“ that can be deployed to stuff unpopular measures down the throats of the American people.
According to the Constitution, Trump is also in charge of the FBI but, as he has learned to his chagrin, as a practical matter he has no control over it at all.
Very late to this, but I very much enjoyed the addition of Sohrab Ahmari. I think 4 is a better number than 3 for a conversation, and I suspect he brings a slightly different slant on some things, which heightens everyone’s game.
