How is it that John cannot imagine the Left using the Caravan as a way to tar most of the country as irredeemably racist? How can he not imagine it working?
Has he not seen how deftly the Left uses human shields to “other” as many people as possible? Look at what happened to Laura Ingraham over One. Stupid. Tweet. (A twitterlocutor of mine wondered what my problem was because the Montgomery bus companies were boycotted, and he dared me to say they were not legitimate. As if Ingraham had been depriving people of their civil rights.)
The hysteria knobs are all turned up past 11. They are Organized to slap down hard anyone who so much as flinches at admitting the entire Caravan (and all that follow), no questions asked.
Oddly enough, Trump might actually be able to tell them to pound sand, but I can’t be sure — if enough people flatter him the right way, he’ll fold. He IS a NYC liberal, after all, and he might get his buttons pushed such that he’ll fold instead of fighting back, because he doesn’t want to come across as the mean guy.
