You may be New York–centric but I’m not bothered by it for two reasons:

    — I am far away from NYC, so it’s interesting to hear a different perspective than mine.

    — You’ve done a good job putting yourselves in the shoes of people living elsewhere, who are not experiencing the pandemic in the same way. I’ve seen some Acela-corridor types cop some seriously myopic attitudes regarding people who are differently impacted by the pandemic. They honestly think it’s a choice between people’s lives and the stock market. I tried to point out on Twitter that there are people who can’t pay their bills anymore, and they sniffed that people should have lobbied for a living wage. The cake, I guess, is what they should eat.

Could you spend some time next podcast contrasting and comparing  Schopenhauer’s critique of Kant versus the Schmendrick Principle?

Speaking as an Idahoan, Senator Schmendrick is going to be fine as long as he continues to get a 100 percent rating from the NRA and stays out of MSP restrooms.
