    President Obama asserted he had authority to involve troops and conduct a massive bombing campaign in Syria. He was wrong, but Congress let him do it.

    President Trump says he has the authority to remove troops and cease dropping bombs in Syria. He is right.

    If Trump mentions his returning Constitutional war powers to Congress in his upcoming State of the Union address, it will be interesting to see who’s cheering and who’s not.

    I appreciate the reminder that Congress is so spineless it will neither approve military operations in Syria nor fight their cessation. Truly a national embarrassment is our legislature.
