Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
On the first of this week’s podcasts, we dilate upon Meryl Streep attacking Donald Trump and Donald Trump attacking Meryl Streep and how Trump represents a different kind of combative conservative—one who has his own form of pop-culture reach that is beyond the capacity of the Streeps to silence or control. We also talk about why it is that the declassified Russia report is not the document it could have or should have been. And some other stuff. Give a listen.

Did Mr. Podheretz confuse mixed martial arts with the WWF? The incredible skill and discipline in mixed martial arts combined with the safeguards put there make it seem like a noble sport. Putting punching, kicking and grappling all together is incredibly difficult and I haven’t heard about MMA people beating their wives or doing crack.
I don’t see the lowness of it.
The idea that JPod would know anything at all about MMA is laughable. However the idea that he would opine on it, quite predictable.
I agree with him on reality T.V. There are loathsome parts of American pop culture but MMA isn’t one of them.
It was sad that the one part of Streep’s speech JPod thought was relevant was when she continued the debunked smear of Trump making fun of a reporter.
