Today’s podcast pays tribute to Colin Powell’s extraordinary American story and asks why his memoir isn’t taught in schools while memoirs about racial bitterness are. We also wonder at the larger meaning of the DC comic book company’s decision to remove the words “American way” from the Superman slogan and what it means about the possibilities of a conservative counterculture. Give a listen.

I really wish that Collin Powell ran, and became America’s first black president. Think of it, America would be a very different place if he’d won….

No Clinton second term. No Bush V Gore controversy. The democrat’s party coalition of minorities gets shattered. (not just because there was a black republican candidate – but because all the vile hatred of democratic party comes into the lime light)

As a retired general he would have had the skills to be a successful president – unlike the man who’d eventually become the first black president.
