Great discussion on the Kavanaugh controversy. We now seem to be in an era of “collective responsibility.”

Second that: a very good discussion.

I thought John’s comment about those with power creating a “culture of confession” was powerful and poignant, and offered an interesting litmus test for detecting abuse of political power.

I was also pleased to agree with Noah on the matter of “optics”: yielding to concerns over it is caving to the rampant political correctness and reverse discrimination (an admittedly oxymoronic phrase) of the moment. (I tend to disagree with Noah more often than with the rest of the Commentary panel, so I enjoy those occasions when our views coincide.)

    Good show.
