Again, excellent insight on the current media and their actions. They try and sweep so many things under the rug.
How did Michael Avenatti think the scheme would not blow up? With that kind of money at stake, of course the actress would pursue the payments until she got her them.
What a sleazy guy. I can’t help but wonder if Stormy was the first and only client he stole from. I hope he is disbarred as a result of this, amongst other appropriate punishments.
He probably figured that, if she became troublesome, he would pay her off with some other, more passive client’s money — as he did, once. He may have thought that, once the extortion money from Nike came through, he could afford to pay everybody off.
If he had taken the time to put together a book proposal, he could probably have picked up a multi-million dollar advance from a publisher, and he would be sitting pretty today.
