In this interview, George Papadopoulos describes —in crazy detail— why he believes a series of shady figures recorded him when he was he was working for the Trump campaign. Plus, why did so many foreign spooks want to buy him a drink? The answers to this and more in this episode of the Byron York show.

    “This is what happens when you work for Trump.” We need to find out the identity of the FBI agent or agents who said this. They need to be fired ASAP and their pensions should be taken away.

    George Papadopoulos has quite a story to tell.  The link to his new book on the subject, namely Deep State Target: How I Got Caught in the Crosshairs of the Plot to Bring Down President Trump,  really ought to be in the above description of the podcast.

    I think that would be better if they just had two at a time and rotated though that group. I like all of those guys, but I’m just not that motivated to listen. I’m not sure why.

    George Papadopoulos has quite a story to tell.

    He does indeed.  He’s clearly new at telling it.  With a little polish, he could tell his story could like one of the best spy novels.

    The incestuous corruption of the federal government by the Democrats and the Mainstream Media gets deeper and dirtier the closer you look.  The Democrat Party, the MSM, and the federal government are fully integrated and virtually indistinguishable in this whole “Russia Collusion” hoax, and all of them are perfectly willing to lie to push their false narrative.

    • Mifsud and Stefan Halper were assets of the United States Intelligence Community, and both fed misinformation to George Papadopoulos;
    • Fusion GPS was founded by MSM veteran Glenn Kessler Simpson (Kessler is the WikiLeaks collaborator, right?);
    • Fusion GPS was hired by Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton;
    • Fusion GPS hired IC asset Christopher Steele, who fabricated Steele Dossier;
    • Top DoJ official Bruce Ohr brought the Democrat/MSM-fabricated Steele Dossier to FBI;
    • FBI and DoJ repeatedly secured FISA warrants based on lies created by Democrat-MSM Complex, and used those falsely-secured warrants to spy on an American presidential candidate and his entire campaign, post-election transition team, and post-inauguration administration.

    The federal government is the Democrat Party is the Mainstream Media.  The cancer has metastasized.

    I had heard Papa D’s interview on Dan Bongino’s podcast last fall, and several interviews that he’s done with Sean Hannity. However, as Byron noted at the beginning of the podcast, his story is very complicated. So it was good to hear it over again.

    Plus, with the release of his congressional testimony, Papa D is now sharing new details. For instance, I didn’t realize the extent to which this was likely connected to Israel and the Obama administrations attempt to reorient American foreign policy away from Israel and toward Iran. Remember, Obama spied on members of congress who did not support his insane Iran Deal (including liberals like Jane Harmon and Dennis Kucinnich). So perhaps Papa D was targeted in 2016 because the Intelligence agencies had already been aware of him through his previous work.

    I was also interested to hear that Papa D was contacted by DIA agents in London. That’s a new revelation and I don’t know what it means other than it appears to mean that the DIA — or parts of it — might have been in on the conspiracy in addition to the CIA and FBI.

    Jewish groups which opposed the Iran deal also thought that they were being targeted (hey, it’s surveillance not spying). Remember in 2004-5 when the Dims were yelling about warrantless wiretapping. Ws White House could have replied, it’s surveillance so it’s no big deal.

     Only Byron York could interview this guy and his complicated  story as Byron does his homework ahead of time. I am unimpressed with Papadopoulos. He comes off to me as a young guy on the fringe trying to impress anyone he can with his “contacts.” His resume is truly a wonder of activity until you stop to realize he only got out of college a little over eight years ago. I just read his profile on his Linkedin page, a tribute to himself if there ever was one. He’s ten pounds lighter than a straw hat.

    The issue is, he got shafted by the Deep State and he handled it pretty well. They regret messing with him.

    Those guys left out an important detail. He was handed $10,000 in Israel. (I forget the guy’s name.) He was smart enough to hand it off to a lawyer in Greece. They were trying to entrap him with the cash. They were looking for it in his bags when he got to the USA.

    Although as a taxpayer I will be footing the bill, I will not begrudge George Papadopoulos or Carter Page their vast sums in damages for blatant and extreme violations of their civil liberties.  The spooks had their freaking browser history for three years, for the love of Mike.

    I hope Peter Thiel will finance their lawsuits against all the media outlets. Gawker them all. It might be the only way media coverage gets any kind of reform. Make the business model too risky and too expensive to pursue.

    There is something slightly off about George in the way he talks. For instance, the way he’s always saying his reaction to so and so asking to meet him is “Ok, that’s fine.” But that’s just a rhetorical flourish. Perhaps it’s influenced by the other languages, particularly Greek, which he speaks. I don’t know.

    But cut the guy some slack. He was bulldozed by the federal government and thrown in jail for a complete spurious reason.

    I’d never heard the detail that he was arrested by seven agents at the airport and put in handcuffs and ankle shackles. That is insane.

    One of the things Dan Bongino has talked about is that Papa D was arrested on “probable cause,” i.e. without a warrant. Bongino says this is very, very unusual in federal cases. If you’re an NYPD beat cop and you see some guy steal a lady’s purse, then you arrest them on probable cause. You witnessed the crime, etc. You don’t have to go get a warrant from a judge before making the arrest. In federal cases, and Bongino was a secret service investigator for about 9 years, they’re not out patrolling the street. They build cases and arrest people with a warrant from a court.

    It sounds like he never once had to deal with people in the government that were acting in bad faith, which is what they were doing in the extreme. He also never had any counter surveillance training. He did pretty well.

    He’s trying to make a living as a think tank guy, or a  policy guy. He shouldn’t have to worry about this crap.

    His old boss Douglas Fithe has a weird rhetorical style too.

    From the just-released Mueller Report. In the interview with Byron, Papa D categorically denied that this ever happened. He said he told Mueller it never happened. If Mueller had evidence that it did happen, and therefore Papa D was lying, why was Papa D not charged with lying about that? Instead they charged him with lying about when he met with Mifsud.

    As I understand it, Papa D said he met with Mifsud after he’d joined the campaign. The date of the meeting itself was never in question. Papa D had been offered a position as a policy advisor with the campaign earlier in March, then he met Mifsud, then it was publicly announced that he was part of the campaign. The “lie” rested on one’s definition of “joining the campaign.” Mueller choice to use the “publicly announced” definition rather than the “offered a position” definition.

    If Mueller’s still saying, in official documents, that PapaD talked about Russia and emails to Alexander Downer, when PapaD completely denies that, what else is Mueller [expletive] lying about?

    Mueller is a dirty, dirty cop whose sole mission was to try to bring down Trump’s presidency. His failure at that is a testament to just how fake this whole thing was. What a disgrace Mueller is.

    The Australian was Alexander Downer.  He actually told political types in London about the meeting instead of the FBI or other intelligence agencies.  What seems like an important fact that is often ignored is that he was a major donor/bundler for Hillary.
