Brett Kavanaugh was the obvious choice for any republican president for a seat on the Supreme court. His nomination was probably the most conventional thing that Trump has done in his presidency. Kavanaugh has gone through a half dozen (or more) FBI background investigations connected to his federal employment. I doubt there is anything that could be legitimately claimed about Brett Kavanaugh that the FBI didn’t already know. Are the democrats suddenly alleging that there is rampant incompetence at the FBI? That they could miss so many crimes so many times?
The reaction to his nomination just proves that the democrats would oppose any nomination.

A superb interview. Thank goodness we have Mollie Hemingway on the case! Mollie carefully demolished the new book on Kavanaugh, not with a sledgehammer but with a carefully wielded stiletto.
One thing that has truly helped Brett Kavanaugh is six women: Mollie, her co-author Carrie Severino, Deputy Maricopa County Rachel Mitchell who cross-examined Christie Blassey Ford, and Kavanaugh’s wife and two daughters, who were forced to grow up far too early.
I know its old news at this point, but would someone be interested in doing a book on the Wisconsin John Doe Investigations?

One thing the left might try even with a female Supreme Court nominee, is to claim that “The Biden Rule” applies now – or would next year, anyway – when that is really not true. It will be an election year, but the President and the Senate are (controlled by) the same party. Indeed, the Republican majority in the Senate is LARGER now.
