Democrats are making up impeachment as they go along. They’re sensitive to accusations that they’re rushing — but they’re rushing. Adam Schiff says Democrats have to act quickly because President Trump presents an imminent danger to the country and must be removed ASAP. For her part, Nancy Pelosi says it’s not a rush at all, because the impeachment investigation is really a continuation of the years-long Russia probe. “This isn’t about Ukraine,” she said. “It’s about Russia.” Really? Meanwhile, Republicans — and no one else, apparently — are upset about Schiff’s decision to publish the phone records of the president’s personal attorneys, a journalist, and a fellow member of Congress. All in this week’s impeachment edition of The Byron York Show.

There are Republicans that think the show trial is just swell.

The Republicans should make this announcement: “Every reporter and news publication that has not objected to the publication of this reporter’s phone records, know that we will publish your phone records next time we are the majority party. Your silence is consent.”

This is my favorite new podcast. Great content, articulately presented, and love the no chit chat approach.

Superficial quibble, this podcast has to lead in loud saliva gulping. Or maybe it’s water swigging. Leaning back from mic or some post editing to remove would bring this show to near perfection.

They did forget to edit out Byron’s coughs at the end of the podcast, where he did a second take after that. Need to have someone a little more focused on listening the entire way through who’s in charge of the editing.
