For all the speculation that goes on around former President Donald Trump and the 2024 Republican presidential nomination race, it’s possible, even likely, that the more intense battle will be among Democrats. A new poll from Mark Penn, the former Clinton strategist who runs the Harvard-Harris poll, suggests President Joe Biden’s support among Democrats is significantly weaker than Trump’s support among Republicans. And that could lead to chaos on the Democratic side.

I doubt the 2024 deathmatch will happen. I dont think Biden will be able to maintain the illusion of life that long.
It’s sad the delusions Biden’s handlers have him saying. Biden says he is there to save us from the Trump abyss. He wrecked the country in a year by reversing Trump’s policies. If a functioning economy is an abyss, sign me up.
Unless the Democrats can order up another epidemic, so Biden can sit out this election, too, in his basement: can Biden survive the rigors of a Presidential campaign?
This may be the Democrats’ best chance. They replace Biden with a photogenic but little-known politician, which lets the pro-Democratic media define him to the American people.
I dont think another pandemic would work – too many are too suspicious of the first, and will not co-operate with a second.
No, Biden cannot survive the rigors of a campaign, he can barely make it through an international conference.
I think the democrats best (only) hope would be to go completely out of the box, find someone like Mark Cuban. Who is interested in a political career. He’s got a small public record – he’s an independent thinker (relative to the democrat party at least) and has some experience out in the real world, building things and running things.
You have to understand, for people who live within the CNN/MSNBC/Democratic bubble, the January 6 clown show was a “deadly insurrection”, and an attempt to overthrow the government of the United States.
They start with the axiom, “Trump is a traitor.” And then they look for evidence to back up their conclusion. They ran with “Russia collusion” as long as they could, but that failed. All they have left is their desperate grasp on January 6.
The Democratic Far Left would probably find Mark Cuban unacceptable. Any businessman will be suspected of being a closet moderate, no matter how much he publicly bows to progressive sacred cows.
The democrats will have to create an Alt-Left, just has Republicans have created the Alt-Right. (to temper media criticism – but it exists) The problem with an Alt-Left – is that they tend to shoot people if they feel ignored. That’s the real threat of the far left – listen up or get beat up…
