Great discussion. I’m afraid I’m on the pessimistic side and just don’t think the main stream media will reform itself.
A sad and hollow discussion. Three old has-beens who haven’t been put in the game to face an honest fast ball for close to twenty years. Trump is gone, never to return and no with legacy to speak of in his wake. Their collective contempt for the “Never Trumper” boogey men is just weak and pathetic.
Don’t worry , fellas, I wouldn’t dream of even walking on the sidewalk in front of your lawn, let alone treading on it.
The best show you’ve had to date. Thank you.
I completely disagree. This was a fine podcast, with three of the very best on the conservative side, in my estimation.
We don’t have to argue about it.
I do urge anyone else who listens to the podcast, and likes it, to chime in, to show support for Messrs. Bennett, Black, and Hanson.
The critique of Never Trumpers — who urged us to vote for “centrist”, “moderate” Joe Biden — was devastating, and must have stung.
In 2016, I was anti-Trump myself. In fact, I subscribed to The National Review just to get their “Against Trump” special issue. (I finally canceled my subscription just a few months ago.)
But then, the name “Never Trump“, proudly announces its irrationality. “I will oppose Trump regardless of what he does in office or of who his opponent is.“
As a rational anti-Trumper I kept my eyes open and watched what Trump actually did; i.e., work for conservative goals, sanction China, send anti-tank missiles to Ukraine, bomb Russian mercenaries in Syria.
Meanwhile Never Trumpers doubled down: if Trump was for conservatism, then conservatism must be bad. If Trump gave us the first Supreme Court not dominated by liberals since the early 1930s, oh well, that’s such a trivial matter, it’s “no … legacy to speak of”.
These 3 should have a regular podcast together. I would listen. Crusty old dudes who hate lefties, each based in his own way. The Based Boomer podcast.
