Outstanding interview with Glenn Loury, though the sound quality leaves something to be desired.
Loury is a prophet crying in the wilderness, where no one but us deplorables can hear him.
Race and porn. As that Justice said, he may not know how to define porn but he knows it when he sees it. I was one of the first and one of the VERY few White Race Relations Officers in the USAF—50 years ago!! An old prom High School prom date with whom I’m still in touch sent me a long pro BLM piece from her daughter to encourage me to join a conversation about George Floyd and the explosion of killing of young Black men by white cops…
It’s 2020….like porn, not a soul on the planet who can fog a mirror and spell his/her own name doesn’t know what racism is. Why? Because it IS NOT SYSTEMIC...If it were, then it would be easy to point to the rule, the regulation or the codicil that enshrines racialist favoritism or DIS-favoritism (with the sole exception being Affirmative Action !).
The conversation, then, is simple:
Don’t be a racist.
Now let’s move on.
