    I agree with Noonan: the right doesn’t have the palanca to halt the PC spiralling of the leftists. The revolutionaries on the right are too few and too far between to convince the leftists to knock it the hell off.

    The only people who can perform an intervention are the friends and family of the afflicted; opponents can’t pull it off. It has to come from the inside.

    The interesting part of that conversation for me was about the replacement of history with ideology. “They did it wrong because they were stupid and horrible; we’ll do it right because we’re smart and good” is not a good takeaway from the reading of history, even/especially when it comes to the hard cases (e.g. “why did Germans vote for Hitler” and “how did anyone not see that slavery was wrong?”)
